Modularity, unexpected material use and unique inspiration sources are at root of simple-but-sensational furniture work-arounds

While NYCxDesign continues to diversify to other categories beyond furniture, seating, storage and lighting products are still the most things exhibited. During our tour around the various shows, we made note of favorite pieces that not only look good but solve a problem, use interesting materials and are inspired by something new.

Tick Table Legs

German designer Jakob Schenk developed Tick a couple years ago, but until 2015 they weren’t available in the United States. The leg system comes in three height sizes and can make a table out of nearly any flat sheet of material.
