Swedish smart bike brand has partnered with UNICEF to help young women in the developing world access education

The biggest problem that many of us faced when traveling to school was getting up on time to make it before the bell rang. Girls in Ghana have far greater problems, for the majority the nearest school is 5-10km away and their only option is to walk. Often, they risk violence and abuse on these journeys. Vélosophy, a new bike brand from Sweden, aims to address this issue, by improving the lives of both customers and young people in the developing world.

The brand has teamed up with UNICEF for a three-year project in which they will donate a bike to a school girl in Ghana for every bike sold.
