WWF Japan’s Panda Font Raises Awareness for Dying Breed
The Panda Font Project incorporates the much-loved animal into a typeface to highlight its plight
WWF Japan tasked the agency Ogilvy & Mather Tokyo with creating a campaign to raise awareness of the giant panda‘s near extinction and they developed a special font that features the popular animal.
Pandas are one of the most adored animals in the world but there are only 1,600 left in the wild. The distinctive black and white animal has been the symbol of the WWF since its formation in 1961. One of the rarest and most endangered bears in the world, it faces a number of threats including habitat loss and fragmentation.
