SUNplace, a solar-powered cooking set, is meant to bring people together and get them thinking about solar cooking

“Grilling weather” takes on a new meaning with SUNplace, a solar cooking set that concentrates heat from the sun and conducts it onto your food.

This piece was created by Lanzavecchia + Wai, an international creative collaboration, for an exhibit at the Expo Milano 2015, where the duo was assigned the theme of “cooking.”

Since solar cooking is mostly used in countries with limited access to cooking fuel, the designers sought to use SUNplace to promote new habits and associations around this practice. They tell PSFK:
