Smartphone cameras get better every year, taking sharper, higher-resolution photos than ever before. This in turn has spawned a photography boom, as people snap more photos and share them online. But one thing they all have in common: they only take two-dimensional pictures. That may change with the release of Bevel, a smartphone add-on that uses existing technology to take 3D photographs with rich detail, color, and texture, photos that can then be uploaded to anyplace normal photos would.
