Studio Roosegaarde's Smog Free Project yields cleaner air and a potential new trend in fashion accessories

Last year we covered Dutch designer Daan Roosegaarde’s Smog Free Project initiative, a project that aims to raise awareness on smog and pollution. Targeting the world’s most polluted cities, the design team’s plans to install purifying vacuum towers across the globe is aiming to launch September 2015, beginning in Rotterdam, NL.

The campaign deploys many tactics to increase awareness on the impact of pollution. With hopes to inspire civilians to play an active role in depolluting modern cities, the team has produced an unlikely output along the way.
