Intelligent Design builds low-impact clothing that’s easy to make at home under a Creative Commons 4.0 license

Forget the 3D printer a moment; take out that sewing machine and build a wearable tee at home without even breaking a sweat. Open-source label Intelligent Design, from jeans and tees maker London Denim, launches on Kickstarter with a low-impact, simple yet attractive T-shirt.

The Intelligent Design Tee is made from a cool 185 gsm cotton jersey. Two pieces are cut and then sewn together in a simple, no-fuss process.

Single-stitched all-throughout, the machine thread doesn’t even need to be cut until it’s done. Because of the knit fabric, hems for both sleeves and torso are left raw without unravelling.
