Tastemakr allows people to discover a new independent food maker, such as Vicky Graham and Vicky's Donuts, every day

U.K.-based website Tastemakr has launched an end-of-summer pop-up that reveals a new indie food maker every 24 hours for 24 days.

The website launched after founder Anthony O. Thomas attended a food and culture festival and became aware of how trying it was for independent food makers to get the attention of buyers. Says Thomas:

On one side, it’s a ‘make or break’ for these food entrepreneurs and makers to strike a deal with these large retail stores. On the other hand there are very few places you know where you can get handmade almond peanut butter unless you know the person who makes it.
