An Italian designer created a version of the Pepsi can that features an attractive, Mondrian-esque print

Italian designer Andrea Salamino imagined a new version of the Pepsi can, dressed in an iconic Mondrian print. His tagline? “The world is not just red”—a sly reference to competitor Coco-Cola’s ubiquitous red cans. It’s also a more appealing, minimalist design, like something you might want to display on a shelf rather than crumple into the recycling can.

According to Salamino, the modern color-block design was inspired by dutch Neoplasticism and the art of Piet Mondrian and Jean Gorin.
