UrbanCampsiteAmsterdam is an open-air exhibition of artworks that also serves as a temporary campsite

This summer, UrbanCampsiteAmsterdam has set up a temporary campsite in the Centrumeiland, transforming the barren stretch of land into a public exhibition made up of 14 pieces of art. What is so unique about this outdoor exhibition is that visitors have the opportunity to stay the night inside the extraordinary artworks, which also serve as accommodation.

This temporary campsite has been installed in an underused location in Amsterdam, offering visitors a different view of the area. The aim is to bring the public into contact with contemporary art and demonstrate it’s ability to transform a location. The focus of the exhibition is sense and the transformation of sense.
