A smart adaptive mirror, Lucy harnesses solar energy to light up rooms but skips the electricity

“Solar powered light bulb” might sound like the punch line for an insensitive joke, but Lucy aims to be just that. The orb contains a mirror and lenses, which it uses to direct and focus sunlight, aiming it as a specific area in the room, allowing you to read in your favorite dimly-lit corner without turning on a light.

The only setup Lucy requires is initial placement, and aiming the light with the help of a small dot. Lucy includes a small solar panel to power that sole electrical component. A photo sensor on top keeps Lucy aimed at the sun to provide maximum illumination throughout the day.
