Generation Tux, created by Men's Wearhouse founder George Zimmer, is an online rental catalog of high-quality tuxedos and suits

Renting a tuxedo can be a daunting and time-consuming experience. First there is the shopping around for styles, then the measurements, then the fitting and don’t forget having to pick it up on the right day. But Generation Tux, the latest startup venture from Men’s Wearhouse founder George Zimmer, wants to do away with the hassle by moving the interaction online.

There are others in this online space, such as Simple Tux and The Black Tux, who also want to make tuxedo rentals a seamless and pain-free digital experience, but Zimmer hopes to differentiate Generation Tux by connecting it to his other recent startup, zTailors. Launched in May, zTailors is an online platform that provides on-demand, in-home tailoring. Users can search a database of tailors in their area and request an appointment in their office, at their home or anywhere else that might be convenient. Generation Tux is the only suit and tuxedo rental platform to provide such a service.
