A small change equals a huge convenience with a new design concept for credit cards

It's one of those things you probably never realized annoyed you until somebody pointed it out. Credit cards are flat, making them hard to grip under some circumstances. By fiendish coincidence, those circumstances exist in most wallets and when the card is lying flat on the table.

Enter the bump concept: Avant Garde Card developed by designer Li Wenkai. He proposes placing a shallow 1mm protrusion high on either side of the card. The bump would be nowhere near the numbers or magnetic stripe but rather positioned near the edge so it's visible and reachable in most wallet pouches.
