Vans and truth collaborate on a youth non-smoking campaign

Vans and national tobacco campaign truth have teamed up on a collaboration called Weapons of Mass Ridiculousness that aims to make smoking cigarettes a thing of the past.

The two companies worked alongside creative agency 72andSunny to design a pair of Vans shoes showcasing the many alternatives to smoking, including ice cream, kissing, tacos and 3D glasses. The idea for the collaboration was an extension of Erase ‘N Replace, an app created by truth and 72andSunny that lets users take photos of people smoking and replace them with a variety of objects so that the smoker may actually be instead playing the kazoo or breathing fire, among other things.
