A Vancouver based company called Shield-X Technology Inc. has developed a sticker-like decal called BrainShield that sticks on both sides of a football helmet and can drastically reduce concussions. Originally started five years ago as part of Simon Fraser University’s Research and Development Department, Shield-X Technology asked itself a question many are currently tackling: how might helmet performance be improved?
