Apple's series of new retail concept stores are designed to serve multiple purposes based on strategic planning and research

Last month, Apple unveiled designs for the new Apple retail store location along Chicago’s riverfront. Apple is building many of them across the world, including New York, Belgium, Dubai and multiple locations in China. Chicago is the latest project reveal. Unlike the traditional stores, the new Chicago flagship being designed by the London-based architectural firm Foster + Partners, headed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Norman Foster, detours from Apple’s ultra modern glass structures.
