TV Network Thinks Slap-On Wearable Will Lead To Healthier Kids
A new app encourages physical activity through a wearable snap band
Kids might receive the coolest new tech toys for the holidays, but they'll likely ditch them for a computer screen hours later.
Last month, PBS Kids launched the PBS KIDS Party App, partnering with Moff Band to add a wearable tech component. Designed for five to eight-year-olds, the app can be used with or without the band and includes four games that are both educational and active.
“I saw that there was a problem with toys that ended up sitting dormant on floors and in closets while kids had their eyes glued to the screen,” Akinori Takahagi, co-founder and CEO of Moff Band told Amazon.com. “The idea came to me to empower the intuitive imagination found in each and every child with active movement through the technology of a wearable.”
