What creative possibilities could be opened up by thinking verbally—and then feeding that thinking to an AI system?

At this moment in time, digital communications technology has made it easier than ever before to sketch out ideas verbally with people across long distance, and even simultaneously (in the case of various chat interfaces and Google Docs). But a new platform currently in beta called WordsEye could add an entirely new dimension to all this, allowing users to conjure up CGI imagery with just the mention of a word—and sentences that resemble natural language.

This “visual banter” could one day help people dream bigger online, using spontaneously generated imagery in combinations that didn't previously exist.
