SVA Alum and Associate Strategist Graham McMullin on how branding requires a similar balance of curiosity and empathy that science has come to depend on

As part of an annual ongoing series, PSFK will be chatting with alumni from the School of Visual Arts (SVA) Masters in Branding Program. The program allows students to create frameworks to guide brand, design and business development, critically evaluate brand, business, marketing and design strategies and master the intellectual link between leadership and creativity.

To launch this year’s series, we spoke with former SVAer and scientist-turned-strategist Graham McMullin on what influenced his career evolution, his work as Associate Strategist at the brand strategy & innovation agency Redscout, and how good strategists can stand to resemble scientists.
