Label campaign urges drivers to ponder their effect on global warming

Since its creation in 2013, the organization Think Beyond the Pump hopes to drive more awareness about the dangers of carbon dioxide and how everyday actions contribute to global warming. The California-based team uses a simple approach to building awareness by leaving CO2 warning labels on gas pumps for drivers to read while they fill up.

The team wants to convince citizens that the impact of greenhouse gases on the environment ultimately comes down to individual actions. If consumers can change their behavior, they can positively affect the environment.
