The Obama administration reaches a younger audience through Snapchat

The White House expanded its social media presence to Snapchat, according to a blogpost written by Jason Goldman, the White House Chief Digital Officer.

“Our Official Story will take you behind the scenes of the White House’s State of the Union preparations, with footage and angles you won’t find anywhere else,” Goldman said in the blogpost.

“Whitehouse” Snapchat followers will see a side of the White House they have never seen before. Just in the last few days the White House has snapped footage of President Obama being interviewed on Youtube with the caption “POTUS on live on YouTube rn,” with “rn” standing for right now, and a TV emoticon.
