Live-action specials engage kids with an enriched experience

Amazon has announced a deal with Mattel’s American Girl, which will see the production of four live-action specials based on the brand’s characters, along with options to produce multiple seasons of episodic content. American Girl is one of the world’s top brands for girls, aiming to empower them with its line of dolls and books. The specials will join Amazon’s award-winning original kids programming slate.

This move demonstrates Mattel’s ongoing efforts to appeal to a tech-centric audience (the brand also collaborated with Google to release an updated View-Master toy offering an immersive digital experience).
