Adults have Poncho and now kids have Furcaster

Humans have always battled against the unpredictable nature of the weather. We may never be able to perfectly predict the elements, but one Apple TV app hopes to help us handle unpredictable weather day-to-day.

Furcaster is designed to be one of the first native tvOS apps built for the new Apple TV. The app, from Smashing Ideas, is a weather guide that uses real-time data for more accurate readings, as told by a creature named Flurry and animated backgrounds.

Furcaster is targeted at kids to help them learn to check the weather and prepare for the day. Makers of the app are hopeful that parents can use it as a teaching tool to show their children not only how to read the forecasts, but also some of the science behind it and how to dress appropriately based on the weather.
