The likelihood of shattering your screen while exercising is pretty high. We all know that data and battery usage can go through the roof on long runs or during gym time. Ever wanted to work out but your phone was low on power? These are all obstacles to jamming out while breaking a sweat. As it stands now, every current option for on-the-go streaming music requires a smartphone. The iPod Shuffle made by Apple is compact enough to fit the bill for a comfortable music and fitness experience, but it is limited in what it can play, as it cannot stream music from Spotify.
