How a call from Bill Gates' private office bgC3 helped found a creative consultancy

PSFK has encouraged its writers to start exploring stories created by people, companies and their products outside of major markets like Los Angeles, London and New York. So I did, starting with my new place of residence: Seattle, home to Nordstrom, Amazon, Microsoft, Zillow, REI and more. The town is Silicon Valley’s big sister—it just doesn’t get as much press. The stories that are here linger in the morning mist of rain, dripping down softly, waiting to be told. To start, I met with Intentional Futures (iF), a strategy and innovation firm that feels like a combination of the McKinseys and IDEOs of the world.
