China Could Host the World’s First Smart Airports
Enthusiasm is building for new airport tech—and this country is taking notice
China, despite recent economic struggle, is still home to the world’s fastest-growing domestic flight market. SITA, a company providing the air transport industry with the latest technology, has released a report outlining how China can potentially be home to the world’s first smart airport.
These next-generation airports have two main goals: let passengers access as many airport services as possible and provide them unprecedented amounts of information via mobile. The SITA report says 93% of passengers have smartphones and they look forward to making the most of it throughout their journey.
