Sodo, a pizzeria in the U.K., made a vow to use only environment-friendly practices in operating its company. Part of that commitment is to never offer delivery options for its customers—cars used for deliveries add to air pollution—but a partnership with advertising company TBWA London became an exception. Say hello to your new pizza delivery guy: A local runner in London who delivers pizza for free!

TBWA London and Run Dem Crew, a local running club, joined efforts to deliver pizzas to Sodo’s customers. Yes, the runners in the running club were the ones delivering the pizzas personally and on foot for free during a one-day event.

Customers can actually watch the runners run to their destinations in real-time via live Periscope streams. They can also send a message to the runners and help them with shortcuts.

Sodo sold out of pizzas in just three hours. The proceeds of the event went to a local charity. Due to its success, the one-day campaign turned into a monthly event.
