All-inclusive bell is louder than competitors and alerts you when a bike's moved

Exercise-related apps make it easier for users to keep track of their day-to-day activities. The emphasis is on tracking progress—setting goals and comparing one week to another. But a new technologically-advanced tool puts the focus on safety as well as exercise. The Shoka App and Bell offers cyclists a smart alternative to the standard bicycle bell.

At approximately 95dB, the sound of the smart bike bell is twice as loud as your average bell. The Bluetooth-connected device can offer up to three weeks of battery life and comes equipped with a microphone, light sensor and accelerometer.
