New littleBits kits explore creativity through electronic building blocks

As schools continue to puts an emphasis on STEAM studies, creators are looking for innovative ways to get kids excited about learning.

Educational building block makers littleBits recently unveiled the STEAM Student Set, a toolbox created for children in third through eighth grades. The set comes with 19 littleBits electronic building blocks and 38 accessories for kids to experiment and build their own creations.

The set also comes with a Teacher's Guide that includes strategies, tips and companion lessons. The Student Invention Guide helps kids come up with ideas for projects. They can keep track of their inventions or ideas by jotting them down in the Invention Log worksheet.
