At SXSW, You’ll Be Able to Control Music Using Crystal Balls

A sound experience lets you manipulate multi-instrumental compositions from a single source

As part of Deloitte Digital‘s SXSW Interplay Lab, visitors to the festival can enter a musical installation that pushes the envelope of sound experimentation.

For starters, the ARC features five newly-invented musical instruments that encourage a sense of play. Made up of five different instruments, it reacts intuitively to the user. A highly interactive piece, the ARC allows users to explore music in a different way. Instead of focusing only on the impact of one instrument on a composition, visitors can “explore and control the entire music composition through their interactions,” as Gabe Liberti, Co-Creator of The ARC, explains in an email.
