This service helps settlers build a new social circle after a politically motivated move

Moving to a foreign place, especially because of dangerous situations back home, is an indescribable operation on many fronts. An app is trying to make it a bit easier by giving refugees a chance to meet local Swedes, ask important questions only locals can answer and befriend locals. Welcome! is a smartphone app built by three creatives who sought new ways to help refugees find a new home and community.

Welcome! currently operates only in Sweden and it has several main functions. The first is a Questions page. Here, refugees can post questions important to them like how they can find new jobs, open bank accounts as refugees or even ask about schools. Locals plays a part in the Questions page as experts who can give refugees the answers and insider tips they need.
