The Hyperloop concept is speeding closer to development as scientists and researchers increase their efforts to develop the high speed train. If the concept is ever fully realized, the transportation system will involve pressurized pods inside a reduced-pressure tube. The pod will ride on a cushion of air at high speeds, up to 620 miles per hour. If derived, it will allow transportation up the entire California coast in approximately an hour, a trip that currently takes approximately 14 hours to complete.
