'Great Journey' by Honda shows how autonomous vehicles could encourage exploration

We are experiencing the infancy of autonomous vehicle technology now. Automakers and technologists are promoting visions of traffic-free travel, automated parking and never having to think about directions: All very practical considerations, which Honda thinks doesn’t show enough of what the potential for autonomous vehicles could be. The automaker commissioned industrial design firm Map and Japanese creative director Morihiro Harano of Mori inc. to create a series of concepts that explored autonomous vehicles designed for exploration and enjoyment.
