Startup introduces bumper case for action cameras designed to be thrown in the air

The new version of selfies is ready for takeoff. A team of Uruguyan engineers is responsible for Birdie, a gadget designed to basically throw our devices up in the air to take aerial photos. Drawing inspiration from drones and badminton balls, the team set out to come up with an affordable and simple way to take more spontaneous photos and explore new points of views.

Compatible with GoPro Hero 3 and 4 (the team is working on expanding it to mobile phones and other devices), Birdie is a bumper case made of plastic and parachute fabric specifically engineered to protect the camera from damage.
