A partnership with Ticketmaster is looking to make it easier for people to snag tickets

Brands are learning that higher sales require going to where the consumers already are, and Ticketmaster is going straight to where they all hang out: Facebook.

The two companies are partnering to offer ticket sales directly on Facebook. During its initial stages, only tickets for a few general admission events will be made available via the social media platform, though they plan to expand to all events over time.

A logical step considering Facebook Events is one of its biggest features, this joint venture is beneficial for both parties; It gives users another reason to stay on the platform and could even attract more users. Facebook will reportedly collect an affiliate fee for each ticket but the tickets must be claimed through Ticketmaster’s website or app.
