Tech brand is surfacing an expansive number of device designs

Sony is showing signs of diversification as they rely less on Playstation’s revenue stream. And there is more to their story that the PlayStation VR headset, which is due for release in October of this year. A new incubator, Future Lab Program, marks Sony’s foray which puts their R&D team in public light.

To support the company and remain competitive, various solutions are being introduced spanning wearables, smart home and entertainment technology and being judged by crowds of potential customers. Sony’s existing presence in pivotal events like SXSW Interactive and CES enables them to gauge public opinion and sentiment and factor that into their product development pipeline.
