Starbucks Invites Tech Workers To Take Breaks At Its Cafes
The coffee brand is integrating a feature into Microsoft Outlook to schedule meetings at cafes
As part of the Microsoft Build developers conference, coffee chain Starbucks introduced a feature that works with Microsoft Office to schedule meetings at any Starbucks cafe.
The feature works with Starbucks’ mobile order and pay functionality for people to pre-order their drinks. Another addition invites meeting organizers to send gift cards. Although this integration is more of a proof of concept than full program, it demonstrates Starbucks’ ability to experiment with different platforms to facilitate quick transactions without disrupting their coffee drinkers’ daily lives.
