Gilt Groupe founder is behind a startup that lets users shop from images

Named after the month that marks the beginning of the fashion calendar, Project September is an app where users can follow friends, brands and influencers and buy any item in an image with just a click.

With a highly visual interface designed to look like a magazine spread, Project September’s is its own app with no content sourced from other social media platforms. Users can create profiles and upload their own content, enabling them to make a small commission from items sold through their photos. The app launched with more than 2,000 stores and brands like Net-a-Porter, Saks Fifth Avenue, Coach, Fendi, Nasty Gal and Free People.
