Now we know how Oculus and social networking make sense together

When news broke out that Facebook acquired Oculus there was an overwhelming sense of curiosity. What do virtual reality headsets have to do with social networking? On their latest keynote, the big blue company has finally made it clear why it’s a match made in futuristic heaven. Facebook Chief Technology Officer Mike Schroepfer showed off what they’ve been working on since acquiring Oculus in 2014: selfies in VR.

This includes two touch control pads that fit like hand straps for each hand. These introduce hand movements, gestures and fingers to the VR world.
