A billboard combines live traffic data and flights to alert onlookers of ETA

JetBlue has recently infiltrated the mass of advertisements of Times Square in an attempt to inspire travel. For New Yorkers, it’s easy to ignore the onslaught of bright advertisements and tourists, but this outdoor campaign gives onlookers a reason to stop and look up.

By combining real-time traffic data from google maps and flight data from the airline, an active flight schedule streams across a billboard, telling people exactly how long it would take to get from the point where they’re standing to their vacation. For instance, a viewer might look up to find that it would take exactly 48 minutes to reach JFK by taxi, arriving in time for a 7:45 minute flight to San Francisco.
