Mobile platform lets customers borrow clothing and accessories for a 4-day period

Consumer/fashion tech company Date My Wardrobe aims to bring the sharing economy to fashion designers in Boston. It offers them a mobile platform to showcase their collection and generate additional revenue, and gives customers access to high-end fashion direct from the designers through an iOS app. Locals can rent pieces including dresses, clutches and silk scarves for a 4-day rental period, with the added option of purchasing any of the items listed.

Currently, there are collections from half a dozen Boston-based designers including Denise Hajjar and Candice Wu, with many more launching in the coming weeks. Categories for the listings include cocktail dresses, ready-to-wear, and bridal.
