This robotic suitcase can walk itself

The Cowa Robot is a very simple-looking suitcase with a secret: it has motorized wheels and a tracking system so it could follow its owner around an airport. The user would have to wear a wristband that contains the tracking element as well as the key to the bag.

Here’s a video by CNET:

To use, just tap the button. The bag will follow at top speeds of 7.2 km/h (average human walk is 5 km/h), no tethering required. The bag has obstacle avoidance technology and supports a SIM card so you can track it when it gets lost. At a hefty 4.5kg, it leaves about 2.5 kg for personal stuff following the usual 7 kg carry-on limit.
