The Royal Mail app allows users to send snapshots as physical postcards for small fee
The Royal Mail, a postal service from the UK, is launching a new service on their app that will allow users to turn a photograph on their phone into a physical postcard. The free app, called Swapshots, will allow users to add a message or apply filters to their selected photo, and add whimsical extras (like a mustache or a hat).
The service will lets users print and mail out the personalized postcards, which costs £0.84 (about $1.23) each. Although postcard-sending apps are nothing new, this may be the first time it’s available directly linked with a mailing and delivery service.
