Service Uses Emojis To Fill Empty Tables At Restaurants
A VIP dining experience that's just an emoji away
Have you ever wanted to explore new restaurants in your area, but not sure where to start or even how to get there? All you have to do is text one emoji, and you'll be driven to a restaurant that same night. Cake.af is helping restaurants fill their tables and offering customers free Uber rides to get there.
If you live in New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, a dinner reservation is just a text message away. All it takes is sending the cake emoji to Cake.af's number though first, you'll have to give them all your information for the Uber and the reservation. At noon, the service sends you an invitation to a restaurant with a time. To accept, customers just reply ‘yes,' and need to be ready for when the Uber arrives to pick them up. If they are not interested in the place or don't like the cuisine, they decline the invitation and try again another time. And no, you don't have to eat alone—the invitation allows for three more guests to come with you.
