Advertising agency gets creative in this job recruitment stunt

With the slow demise of TV placements and print advertising, companies are becoming increasingly creative about which medium they chose to engage with potential customers.

Advertising agency 180LA took to Snapchat in search of a new social media manager, a strategic recruiting stunt to poach talent from its nearby competitors. Instead of a traditional job posting, the company used Snapchat geofilters to target and recruit employees from top West Coast ad agencies and tech companies to fill the available role. The agency’s Snapchat story led 40 candidates to apply within the first day.
