The limited edition cans merge packaging and advertising to tell a comic strip-like story

For the 69th Cannes Film Festival, traditional supporter of the festival Stella Artois commissioned BBDO Ukraine to create a series of limited edition cans. The cans feature bold and colorful Art Deco-inspired graphics in a comic book style that tell a story taking place on the Cannes’ Croisette.

The story draws from cinematic tropes like car chases and plot twists, and each of the four cans tell a different part of the story. When looked at individually, they all take a different meaning—for example, the first could be seen as an absurd accident or a fatal coincidence. The cans also include hidden clues in the form of URLs of Ukrainian websites, that take us deeper into the story, its heroes and what brought them together.
