The Void, an immersive virtual reality theme park based in Utah, is opening its first outpost in New York City’s Times Square.

The Void uses a VR headset and a supercomputer backpack to allow users to have a walkable, virtual reality experience that transports them to another world that they can see, feel and interact with. The Void will create its own content, but will also partner with major film releases to give participants the opportunity to explore the movie’s environment and interact with its characters. This summer, The Void will partner with Sony Pictures to give users a virtual reality experience around the studio’s new Ghostbusters movie, including an interactive “ghost hunt.” The attraction will open on July 1, 2016.
