Raceable tech follows the lines on a track and provides a visual target to beat

Sports brand Puma has created a programmable, line-following robot to help runners reach their target speeds. BeatBot has been designed to inspire runners of all levels to push harder by giving them a visual target to beat.

The race-tech is good for sprints or long distance runs. It is easy to use, with runners simply entering the distance they want to race and the time they want to beat into the app, before placing the robot down on the track.

The Puma BeatBot follows a line on the track using infrared sensors. It counts the revolution of the wheels to determine speed and distance, making over 100 adjustments a second to match the set pace. You can check out the robot in the video below:
