Skateboarding shoes made with natural hemp include a hidden pocket
Shoemaker Adidas is embracing cannabis-culture with a new pair of skateboarding sneakers. Released via a raffle on BAIT in time for April 20, the shoe is called the Stan Smith Vulc ‘Happy.’
Made from heat-pressed hemp, the shoe’s outer tongue features a faux prescription label that reads “HIGH-POTENCY, SUPERIOR QUALITY, DOSAGE 420 MG, TAKE AT LEAST ONCE A DAY,” while the inner tongue hides a discrete pocket for stowing “any small items.”
The footbeds, which feature a disclaimer that reads “MAY CAUSE RELAXATION,” are made of cork, specifically because they come from ‘trees.’
