Signal lights, cameras and spatial awareness help cyclers navigate through city streets

Brooklyness, a company that specializes in building products for the urban biker, has unveiled its latest product — the Classon smart bike helmet. Embedded with important features, the company dubs it the world’s most intelligent helmet, complete with signal lights and cameras.

The most interesting feature is blind spot awareness. It can detect cars coming from the back for the biker and immediately gives warning. This means a biker is more aware of cars that are trying to overtake him or her and which side they will be coming from. The turn signals on the helmet automatically shines when a biker extends a hand signal. With a camera upfront and smartphone connectivity, the biker can also share track videos, create GIFs or even live-stream their rides. It also offers hands-free navigation through a smartphone.
